Founded on Jan 28, 1927 in Hartford, Connecticut by a group of dedicated people from the Island of Rhodes, the Pan-Rhodian Society, APOLLON, was created to maintain our Rhodian heritage while promoting the ideals of our Greek culture. The Pan-Rhodian Society has grown over the years to include chapters across the United States and continues to provide a strong link to the beloved homeland of our founders.

The primary aims of the Pan Rhodian Society of America are to:

  • unite all individuals of Rhodian descent residing in the USA and Canada
  • promote greater unity within the Greek-American Community
  • encourage mutual aid and promote solidarity and brotherly relations among its members
  • provide financial assistance to patriotic, educational, religious, philanthropic, athletic, and agricultural institutions in the US and Rhodes; and,
  • grant scholarships to the children of Rhodians or to those of Rhodian descent attending accredited institutions of higher learning in the United States of America and elsewhere
