Year 2008-2009 Goals and Accomplishments

The 81^st National Convention in Aliquippa, Pa elected the following Supreme Lodge Officers:  President Polyvios  Pavlidis, Vice Psesident Steve Palardis, Secretary Christina Kapolis and Treasurer Bill Angelis.

The main goal of the supreme Lodge is to visit every chapter of the society.

The 1^st visitation occurred immediately on November 15^th and 16^th   2008, by the President and Treasurer who met with the members of the mother lodge, Chapter #1 Hartford CT.  We met on Sunday after church with all local elected officers and some members of their chapter.  

The 2^nd visitation occurred on May 2^nd and 3^rd 2009, again in Hartford CT.  The Supreme President, Treasurer and Vice President attended a meeting with the officers and members of HANC.  On this historic day, our society was initiated into the Hellenic American National Council.  The president of S.A.E. Ted Spiropoulos who was present at this meeting, suggested that our Society become a member of the internationally known organization SAE.

The second day, May 3^rd, we again met briefly with members of the mother lodge before we departed to visit Chapter # 25 Union, New Jersey.  

The 3^rd visitation occurred on June 23^rd 2009, with members Diagoras of the Baltimore MD, at a local Restaurant.  The meeting was set up by one of their members John Fotiou and the Vice President of HANC Paul  Kotrotsios.  The purpose of this meeting was to invite Diagoras to join the Pan-Rhodian Society of America Apollon.

The 4^th visitation occurred on June 30^th with the Canonsburg Chapter # 24, by the Supreme Lodge Secretary Christina Kapolis and other members of Chapter # 9 Warren   Ohio only while the other 3 members of the supreme lodge traveled to Rhode Island. 

The 5^th visitation was by an invitation from The Hellenic Society Paideia of the Rhode Island and the New England community to participate in the groundbreaking ceremonies on June 30, 2009 at the University of Rhode Island.  Three (3) members of the supreme lodge represented the society during this milestone event.  The building was named “The Rodos” building. 

The 6^th visitation occurred on August 16^th at Canonsburg Pa Chapter # 24, by an invitation of their president.  They are very well organized.

The 7^th visitation was a brief one with the president of Aliquippa Pa chapter Jim Gregorakis.

On this day, Rhodians from Toronto and Montreal Canada were contacted by the Present Polyvios Pavlidis to join our society but no action yet.

The 8^th visitation occurred on September 13^th with Chapter # 3 New York City and also met with members of the convention for the final plans.

Currently, the Supreme Lodge Secretary is in the process of completing the RODOS Magazine before the 82^nd Convention, which will be on October 17, and 18, 2009 in New Jersey.
